Board President Don Godshaw started a career in sales during the 1970s. He lived in Colorado and traveled as a sales representative in the outdoor industry from 1976 to 1981. In 1981 Don moved to Chicago and joined a start-up company called HBIE which became High Sierra Sport company. During his 17 years there he was able to grow the company from under $1 million to $35 million as the vice president of sales and primary product development officer. Today, Travelon does business in over 20 countries and is a top supplier to major retail and Internet companies in the US and globally. Don is now fully retired from the day-to-day activities with the company, but still maintains majority ownership. Lisa Fraser-Eck
Board Secretary I’m currently the Interim Regional Manager for Region 4 (typically the Mountain District Supervisor) for the Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) in the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). I currently supervise eleven DVR offices(Steamboat, Craig, Frisco, Glenwood, Grand Junction, Salida, Alamosa, Durango, Cortez, Delta, and Montrose). DVR provides services to individuals who have a diagnosed disability (physical, mental, or learning disability) that creates barriers to employment. DVR helps individuals with disabilities prepare for, secure, retain, advance in, or regain employment by providing a range of services based on their individual employment needs and goals. To qualify for services, the individuals must need our assistance to work successfully. I have been employed by DVR in several roles over the past sixteen years. I started as an independent contracted job coaching vendor in 2009 for five years, moved to an Administrative Assistant position in 2014, Rehabilitation Technician in 2015, Rehabilitation Counselor in 2016, Lead Rehabilitation Counselor in 2018, District Supervisor in 2021, and Interim Regional Manager since April 2024. During this entire time, I have had a long, successful collaborative relationship with NWCCI. I have a BA and an MA in Human Services, and I am passionate about increasing equity in order to create opportunities for every individual to thrive and live as independently as possible, regardless of disability. |
