Non-Discrimination – Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
Northwest Colorado Center for Independence (NWCCI) does not discriminate based upon disability type, age, sex, sexual or gender preference, sexual orientation, race, ethnic origin, national origin, or religion. However, all persons served by or employed by this organizations must be citizens or lawful residents of the U.S.
The United States Department of Transportation (DOT) ensures full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by prohibiting discrimination against any person on the basis of race, color or national origin in the provisions of benefits and services resulting from federally assisted programs and activities. Any person who believes Northwest Colorado Center for Independence has violated his/her Title VI protections should refer to the Northwest Colorado Center for Independence’s Complaint Policy and fill out a Grievance Form
Northwest Colorado Center for Independence has also developed a policy to assist individuals who are Limited English Proficient (LEP). Translation services in order to assist LEP individuals shall be made available to NWCCI customers upon request.
